Dear Prospective Members,
I hope the website has given you a feel for not just what we do, but for the personality of the club – friendly, casual, and welcoming. Most people aren’t comfortable walking into a room full of strangers. However, going to dinner at a friend’s house, and meeting their friends, is fun. That’s what a Single Gourmet event is like –getting together with “friends of friends”.
I’m always at the events to greet and introduce you and make sure you are comfortable. I take great care in planning each activity, and work hard to ensure that it is enjoyable and worthwhile.
In this spirit of fun and friendship, I invite you to join us as we wine and dine; talk and laugh; and savor the best our area has to offer. As you can see on the website, we go to a great variety of great restaurants—some well known, others undiscovered gems.
Dine with us overlooking the Hudson; feast on excellent cuisine at inns steeped in history; make friends over pots of hot fondue; relax and socialize at cocktail parties; enjoy unique tasting menus prepared just for us; and perhaps even improve your kitchen techniques at a cooking class!
