RESERVATION & CANCELLATION POLICIES
Reservations & Payment:
Reservations must be IN WRITING and accompanied by payment (check, or instructions to charge your card). Letting us know that you "might" come or are "planning" to come is not considered a reservation. For your convenience, we accept checks, Mastercard and Visa. Credit cards will not be charged until one week prior to the event. All reservations require a credit card on file with us to hold your spot, even if you plan to mail a check or pay cash. This is particularly important for late reservations where there is no time for a check to be arrive by mail before the event.)
Nonmember Guests:
Guests are welcome on a space-available basis, with a surcharge of $5 for events up to and including $70; or $10 for events over $70.
Cancellation Policy
The Metro NY chapter has the most liberal policy of any chapter. Cancellations
are accepted at any time, with any credit applied to your Single
Gourmet account, to be used toward the upcoming event of your choice.
The amount of the credit depends upon the event, and how early you
cancel, and whether we can fill your spot from a wait list.
- FOR METRO NY EVENTS
- 3+ days prior – Full credit minus $5 cancellation fee.
- 48 to 24 hours prior - 50% credit.
- FOR NYC & LI EVENTS....
- 8+ days prior - full credit minus $5 cancellation fee.
- Within 7 days, no credit.
Restaurants' cancellation or confirmed count policy overrides the above; any differences or special circumstances will be noted in the newsletter. No cash refunds. Credits must be used within 3 months towards another Single Gourmet event.
If you reserve for an event and cannot attend, please call to cancel.
Even a last minute cancellation can sometimes be credited if we can
find a replacement from a waiting list.
Special Requests
Please let us know of any special requests at the time you make the reservation; or at the very least, a few days before the event! We would like to make your experience as enjoyable as possible and are happy to accomodate seating and other requests. The restaurants are flexible and able to accomodate special dietary requirements, with a little bit of advance notice. And, even if you think we know what you would like, please remind us!
