Dear Prospective Members,
I hope the website has given you a feel for not just what we do, but for the personality of the club – friendly, casual, and welcoming. Most people aren’t comfortable walking into a room full of strangers (as you might with other "singles events".) However, going to dinner at a friend’s house, and meeting their friends, is enjoyable. That’s what a Single Gourmet event is like -- getting together with “friends of friends”.
Our membership is
diverse, and everyone is very nice, welcoming, and, of course,
single. As host of each event, I am there to greet you and introduce you to people, so you aren't "on your own", like at many singles parties or mixers. There is no pressure or competition to "meet someone" or "hookup". Our events are elegant, relaxing, and fun.
With Single Gourmet - Metro NY, you'll wine and dine; talk and laugh; and savor the best our area has to offer. Your calendar will be filled with dates at great restaurants. Dine with us overlooking the Hudson; feast on excellent cuisine at inns steeped in history; relax and socialize at cocktail parties; enjoy unique tasting menus prepared just for us. Single Gourmet is a great way to explore the region, whether you are new in town or a lifelong resident.
Join us for fun, companionship, networking, fine dining, culinary adventure, travel, and the occasional romance. Discover wonderful restaurants while making new, interesting, intelligent single friends over a glass of wine and a shared meal.
